These 4 songs are from my ill-fated, fondly cherished unreleased solo effort. The album was to be called “Extraordinary Popular Delusions and the Madness of Crowds” (gold star if you know what that title refers to!). I remixed these 4 songs after the record got dropped and after I had “shopped it around” (a now-quaint term that refers to having record execs come see your show and decide from on high whether they wanted to sign you to their label). No takers. And there was, alas, no YouTube in 1998, and only one way to get a record out there in the world: The record company.
I love the record I made, and the musicians I made it with (Norm Demoura on guitar/cowriter, and Perry James on drums).
“Jube” was written by the awesome Mike Viola, and used on the soundtrack to the movie “That’s What She Said” (see “Film” tab on the homepage or the hamburger menu for details).
Have a listen!
